The Global CCS Institute is a leading international carbon capture and storage (CCS) think tank. Our mission is to accelerate the global deployment of CCS as a vital part of tackling climate change and delivering climate neutrality. Our diverse international membership includes governments, corporations, private companies, research bodies and NGOs, all with a commitment to CCS as part of achieving a net-zero future.

We have offices in Washington DC, Houston, London, Brussels, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Tokyo and Melbourne.

CCS is an emissions reduction technology critical to meeting global climate targets. The Global Status of CCS 2022 documents important milestones for CCS over the past 12 months, its status across the world and the key opportunities and challenges it faces. We hope this report will be read and used by governments, policy-makers, academics, media commentators and the millions of people who care about our climate.
